Windwalker Award (ASFA)

Rules- The highest scoring dog from each breed will run off at the end of the last ASFA trial of the year. The name of the winning dog and date will be engraved on the trophy annually. A prize and large rosettes will be awarded to the Best in Event Winner and the Reserve Best in Event Winner. About- Every canine enthusiast should shave the privilege of sharing time with one of the “special ones”. In 1990 that happened to Janie Hale when Windwalker joined the other two Pharaoh Hounds in their family. Windwalker was an AKC Bench Champion. There was never a problem getting his big ears to stand erect in the show ring because he was highly motivated when it came to food. He loved to lure course and was one of the 1st USRCC Hounds to achieve an ASFA FCH and AKC Senior Courser. One of the things Janie was most proud of was his Tracking Dog Title. He was either the first or second Pharaoh Hound to achieve a TD title. Using both sight and scent made him a phenomenal tracker that delighted the spectators and judges at the trials.
