We had a great spring trial with lots of talented hounds! Here are the results ffrom the Memorial Day weekend trial.

Congratulations to Rhodesian Ridgeback Arwen and Whippet Draco for their Major wins which finished their AKC field Champion titles.

Both Spiro and Khaos tied for Best In Field on Sunday. They decided to let Sprrio have the win with both owners showing great sportsmanship!

There was a 4 way tie in whippets for breed and a 3 point major. All 4 of the whippets that tied were littermates from Amberwind's Chili Pepper litter. What an amazing group of whippets!

Melissa Egbert's Whippet Khaos took a 5 point Major and Best in field at the Pocatello Kennel Club Lure Coursing trial. He ran a total of 5 times for this award including runoffs and was still ready to run more. Great running Khaos! Khaos also finished the requirements for the Senior coursing title that weekend.

Jack and Mary's whippet Vinnie went undefeated to take the RCRA NOTRA in Sacramento California. It was a 25 dog entry giving Vinnie another 3 ORC points toward his NOTRA Championship. He is now up to 9 and needs another 6 for his ORC.

Draco Placed 4th at the AWC whippet Nationals in Tucson Arizona. This also finished his requirements to earn his Senior Coursing title.

Eva, Andre & Nora Nieminski's Ridgeback Reggie ended up #14 in AKC All-Breed Totals and #22 in Breed Totals for 2009. He finished his AKC championship by the time he was 11 months old and the Canadian championship by the time he was 1 yr. old. Leo is proud of his son and we are proud of Nora, who exclusively showed Reggie.

Rod Thatchers Basenji took a 5 point major at the Northwest Coursing Club event in Auburn, WA Thanksgiving weekend. The following weekend she took 2nd place and 2 points at the Basenji Club of Northern California event. These 7 points, if I figured correctly, complete her AKC Field Championship making her a Dual Champion. Great Job Lilli!

Melissa Egbert's whippet Khaos attended the 2009 Turkey run. Khaos tied for 3rd place and forfeit to 4th on Saturday and took 3rd place on Sunday picking up 2 points. Liz Campbell's Whippet Draco attended the 2009 Turkey Run with a 3rd placement on Saturday and 1st on Sunday taking a 5 point major. There was tough competition and a large whippet entry. Both boys had some fantastic runs!

Irva's whippet Ryan tied for second and forfeited to 3rd place and finished is AKC coursing title at the california whippet specialty. This makes him DUAL CHAMPION! Rella followed up the next day by taking the BIF and finishing her Dual Champion title. What talented running hounds!

Howie's Mother Daughter team took Pocatello by storm! Ridgeback Sugar won Best In Field on Saturday and her mother Abby won Best In Field on Sunday from the veterans class! Congratulations Howie!

Khaos finished his requirements for the Junior Courser title. He had a real nice run at the Pocatello Kennel Club fall trial.

Maryanne's ridgeback Xhabbo won best of breed this year for region 3 in Falcon Colorado.

Mike and Therese Saluki Spiro won best of breed this year for region 3 in Falcon Colorado. This also finished his ASFA Field Champion title! Tykie received his AKC FC. He finished with 4 1st place majors, 3 of which are BIFS. What a fantastic accomplishment. A big congratulations to both their hounds.

Vinnie won the Saturday July 11 2009 NAWRA's sprint meet, and despite the HOT HOT conditions, came back on Sunday to grit out a 4th place finish to again taking the top points to finish his RCH (NAWRA Race Championship) - he took the top RCH points in 5 straight meets to earn this title. He is also in 8th place in the NAWRA standings.

Congratulations to Mike and Therese! Spiro took second place at the 2009 ASFA invitational.
