Tower constructed by Mike modifying scaffolding and using shade cloth.  The top tier is for the operator, second tier is for observation or photography, the ground level is where the machinery is located.

 

 

Motor with captions

The machines are bolted to the ground board for stability, and slightly offset for ease of swapping line from one machine to the other.  This gives the machines a chance to cool off.  A squirrel cage fan is located in the housing on the left of the picture.

Special bushings (Maplecreek) were installed on stand to help keep motor shaft stable and reduce wear on the motor.
